As a Tutoring Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring these students get the education they deserve by pushing for the development of new online courses, giving feedback on Tutor performance, and, making relevant pricing decisions to ensure our services remain affordable.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is looking to develop their career within our organisation by utilising their talent for Economics to the test in a role that also heavily relies on one's capacity to innovate and accommodate the needs of students. Within this challenging position, you will be responsible for the development, and pricing of existing Tutoring Services, such as Public Seminars, and the creation of new Services such as ones that will be in high demand during exam season. Additionally, you will be giving feedback to existing Tutors to ensure that Tutor engagement and performance are high so that students develop a great relationship with their mentors. To achieve this objective, you will be expected to:

Use your creative & innovative nature to design & plan the release of new Tutoring Services to ensure that The Backseat Economist consistently provides the highest quality mentoring for students.
Frequently chat with Tutors to give feedback and listen to changes in student expectations to find what is needed by the students we mentor.
Collaborate with other departments such as Product Development and Marketing to ensure that new Tutoring Services are compatible with existing or developing Products and to ensure that these new Services are known by our customer base.
Foster a healthy & motivated department, you will be chatting to your team regularly, frequently giving feedback and making them aware of what resources are available for improvement.
Handle any customer enquiries from stakeholders such as parents to ensure that they are comfortable with using our services.
Make pricing decisions to ensure that our services have the maximum booked capacity and to keep our sessions affordable for students.

  • Great verbal and written communication skills to be able to give feedback, write reports, and collaborate with other departments across the organisation to maximise the quality and scope of our Tutoring range.

  • A prudent personality that takes pride in ensuring that work done by oneself and others such as team members is of high quality and deserving of merit.
